| Dear Friends,
I pray you will enjoy it and share this thought with your friends as well as offer them an invitation to church this week. ------------------- This Memorial Day Weekend, let us remember the sacrifice of those who have served, and lost their lives in wars to defend our nation. The Bible says in John 15:13: "Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends." Other than our Lord's death on the cross, can there be any greater sacrifice or expression of love than for a Soldier to be willing to put their life on the line so that others may enjoy freedom? We, as a church and nation should always stand ready to remember and give honor where honor is due. Father’s Day is a special day - a time to honor the men around us. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. It is because of His love for us that we have every good thing that we have. One way that we can show our love for Him is to follow His example in the way that we love and forgive each other. If there is a rift between you and your father, this is the time to try and bridge that gap. It doesn’t matter who was right or who was wrong. Practice forgiveness and take time to make peace. Graduation Congratulations To all of you that will soon be graduating -a feat that was not small. You should be very proud of your accomplishments. Each educational goal achieved moves you from being a child to being an adult. You have persevered through all of the lectures, term papers and final exams to be one of those who will walk across that stage and receive a diploma. My prayer is that you seek the Lord when making the most important choices in your life. You have before you a road with many twists and turns. There is certainly more than one route you can take, and the only way to be sure you are making the best choice for you is to seek the Lord with all of your heart. Proverbs 24:5 tell us that A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength. But we also know that we must temper that knowledge with humbleness and that the only true wisdom comes from God. Again I wish you a heartfelt congratulations and I look forward to seeing what the next phase of your life will bring. Keep God first in all you do, and He will continue to bless you life.
